SERVPRO of Fayetteville is Here to Serve the Community

SERVPRO of Fayetteville is here to help!

SERVPRO of Fayetteville recognizes there is more to business than providing services for compensation. Looking for ways to give back to the community shows respect for the people living in the community.

One example of SERVPRO of Fayetteville giving back to the community is providing emergency supplies to those displaced from their homes when the home is damaged by fire, storm, or other sources. Emergencies are not planned and often take those affected by surprise. When a home is evacuated supplies are left behind. These emergency supplies are packaged in a backpack allowing the items to be kept together.

Items included in the backpack are (four of each) shampoo, toothbrushes, stress balls, body soap, emergency blankets. Also included are four teddy bears to provide a little comfort to those young and those young at heart.

These bags are delivered to fire departments, police departments for use when a family or individuals are affected by an emergency.

Disinfecting service vehicles for emergency response personnel (fire, rescue, police) is another contribution to the community Servrpo of Fayetteville provides. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it is imperative to assist those assisting others in their time of need. SERVPRO of Fayetteville uses CDC-approved disinfectants and practices in conformance with CDC guidelines. We appreciate those who are on the front line protecting others.

SERVPRO of Fayetteville recognizes the sacrifices made by service people and their families, loved ones, and significant others. A 5% discount for services is provided to active and non-active service members. Thank you for your service! SERVPRO of Fayetteville also offers discounts to churches.

These are a few ways SERVPRO of Fayetteville works to be a contributing business in the communities we serve. There are many other ways businesses can provide to the community. We appreciate the opportunity to assist others in their time of need.

Online Book Club - Inaugural Meeting

8/29/2016 (Permalink)

There are three types of people in the world:

1. People who LOVE books and who love to discuss them with a group of people who read as much as they do and who have all the time in the world to devote to their passions.

2. People who hate books, who hate people and who hate discussing.

or 3. People who enjoy reading and discussing but simply do not have time to pick up their kids, make dinner, work out, have a social life AND make it to a group that meets in person once a month.

Life is hard and it's hectic, so SERVPRO of Fayetteville decided to create a book club that will satisfy even the most busy person (unless you're #2 on the list above and then there's just no satisfying you with any type of book club).

An online book club is similar to an in-person book club in the fact that a book is assigned and you get the chance to share your views on it once a month. However, the difference is that you can comfortably come to our online book club in your pajamas while eating a pint of your favorite Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

First, you will travel to this link to get to where the discussion will take place on Wednesday, October 12th at 6:30 PM. We are going to be discussing "The Boys and the Boat" by Daniel James Brown. Feel free to buy it on Amazon for $6 here or go to the local library to pick up a copy for free!

Second, we will all have the opportunity to introduce ourselves at the beginning of the discussion. We will then move on to a few thought provoking questions to get our group discussing. It really is that simple and convenient!

I hope you consider joining us! Please contact SERVPRO of Fayetteville at 910-850-4016 or at mm@SERVPROoffayetteville.com with any questions.
